I took the measurements for you!

I ordered this costume for Halloween this year for my obsessed four year old. Like in the other reviews, the wand is great since it’s large and not flimsy. I would like it to have a pocket for the wand inside the robe, and it would have looked a little nicer to have the maroon fabric sewn to the robe on the inside. The glasses are really cute, but I’m worried they won’t make it til Halloween, we’ll have to have Hermoine fix them for us…

As far as what size this “one size fits all” costume is, it’s about 36&1/2 inches long from the top of the shoulder to the bottom of the robe. The sleeves are 19 inches long from the shoulder seam to finger tip. And the shoulder width is 14 inches wide. I hope this helps!

good costume

The specs say this product is for sizes 8-10 and says it’s good for kids up to 12 years of age. My daughter is 8 and it only comes down to her knees. I’d say it’s more for sizes 4-6. However, since it is a robe it’s not that big a deal. The robe is a lightweight material – good if it’s warm where you are on Halloween. The wands seems to be pretty durable as well as the clasp. It’s probably a better deal to the get this whole set for $30 than buy each thing individually.

My 6 year old loved this costume. She is short, so the robe came down to her feet. It’s very light weight, nylon or something similar, with the house badge printed on. The glasses look perfect on her. The wand was fun to wave around, but also the first thing she misplaced. A wand pocket would have been nice, or at least a wristband.

Kept it even though disappointed

The words on the T-shirt appear to be smeared or mis-printed. If you zoom in on the item photo- it can be seen online. I did not notice this prior to ordering. When I saw it later, I assumed that this was the finished product as opposed to my individual shirt being flawed. I chose to keep it because “Grandma” was so excited about it coming. If you are expecting a shirt with a neat clean print, you’ll probably want to pass on this one.

Having seven children – five of them boys – they love spending time outside getting muddy. However as the nights draw in and the weather becomes wetter and colder outside play has to be cut to a minimum most days. The problem with staying inside to play even though means that the primary choice is either watching television or playing on the play station. We don’t often times do this in our household because painting is presently banned. I accordingly only concede crayons and colouring pencils into the house now. Woe betide any relative who gives the children pens for Christmas! The children tend to lose forbearance with crayons rather speedily – they just don’t seem to colour that well, and so colouring pencils are favoured. For paper we pick up cheap copying paper from the supermarket (they don’t like drawing on the back of printed scrap paper) and likewise use rolls of wall lining paper for larger projects. In fact the latter is outstanding for collages too – glue made from flour and water is very cheap and quick to make and washes out of costume easily.

When the children feel in the mood to be crafty, having tired of drawing on their siblings’ arms and legs, another favourite is for the boys to make and decorate paper aeroplanes and the girls like to make pasta necklaces. Macaroni seems to work best and I now and then concede them to get a good deal of paints out – but only in little quantities and Dad’s old shirts have to be worn to prevent their clothes getting too stained.

The planes are then thrown all over the house so the next hour is expended clearing up the mess and retrieving the planes from the toilet and other off places where they have ended up.

Away from the table one of my favourite activenesses for them is to build an assault course – this reminds me of being a little child when I applied to pretend to be a horse and set myself obstacle courses. We use cushions and chairs primarily due to lack of space but rather a lot may be done with these. Blankets may be kept amid chairs to construct a tunnel and these are great fun. When they get bored of the obstacle course they use the blankets to make a tent amid the sofa and the chairs and many times sit there for ages talking in regards to smugglers and sinking ships.

There are a great deal of other things that we do at home and having such a big family means that each and each child manages to bestow their own ideas. The downside is that the mess formulated is unbelievable but the sound of laughter and smiles on happy faces far outweighs the mess – and even the odd scribble on the wall may be forgiven. Great console to take when vacationing….

If you can’t afford one of the handhelds but need to have some fun when you stay in places like hotels, etc. take this with you. It doesn’t take much room and it works with most televisions nowadays. Anything with a video-in can take this. The games (a total of 5 very addictive mini-games) will entertain you for hours. It is also very durable, I got mine about 6 years ago and it just died on us; might get a new one soon. We used it a lot and was kept in a junk drawer when not in use (it held on pretty good through two house moves). When you use it, make sure to have a set of four fresh AA batteries as it will use up quite a lot of battery power, but if you have a battery recharger and 4 spare batteries; chances are you’ll always have a spare set ready by the time the first one runs out.

Very funny, but poor quality

I like this pacifier a lot. In fact, I have purchased many of them. They all get great laughs, and my baby just loves the attention he gets. However, I find that when he sucks on them too long, (and so far, all of them are the same in this way) saliva builds up inside the nipple part. I find myself boiling them and letting them dry pretty frequently, just to be safe.

The laughs you get with your baby sucking on this in public is hilarious! I have been stopped many times and told that we have made someone’s day from the laughs they get from seeing my baby chewing on this. It’s halarious! Not to mention it’s just a regular pacifer and my child enjoys it for that aspect as well.

Gets Lots of Attention

It is very heavy for a pacifier, but it gets a lot of attention when I let my daughter use it, which was the point. It’s not the style pacifier she’s used to but she doesn’t seem to mind using it, but she doesn’t prefer it over the avent paci.
