While purchased nativity scenes are beautiful. They are often without apparent effort broken. There is something actually magic in the family making a nativity scene of their own, and doing it together.

For the stable

Materials you will need:

• Cardboard box or little wooden crate
• Match box
• Brown Paper
• Cardboard
• Gold Glitter
• Toy sheep, cows, goats, camels and a donkey
• Short pieces of straw

Instructions:

• Cover the cardboard box in brown paper. If you are using a crate you don’t need to cover it
• Place the straw on the floor of the stable
• Place the animals at the back of the stable
• Cover the matchbox inner with brown paper and place on the straw. This is the manger.
• Fold a piece of material to look like a baby and place it in the manger.
• Cut out a star from the cardboard. Spread glue on both sides and sprinkle gold glitter on the star. Hang it above the stable.

For the characters

Materials you will need:

• 6-7 toilet roll inners
• 6-7 ping pong balls
• Scrap pieces of material
• Gum Paper
• Tissue Paper
• Tin foil
• Pieces of wool
• Glue

Instructions for Mary, Joseph and Shepards

• Cover each toilet roll inner (keep three separate) with scraps of material. You could use sacking cloth for the shepards. Use blue for Mary and choose a color for Joseph.
• Glue a ping ball on each inner for their heads.
• Glue headdresses on each one and tie a piece of wool around their heads.
• Draw their faces using a fine permanent marker.

Instructions for The Three Wise Men

• Cover the three remaining inners with pieces of bright colored gum paper.
• Using tissue paper, tin foil or wrapping paper invent a dissimilar cloak for each Wise man. Glue to one side of the inner.
• Glue their ping pong ball heads on.
• Make headdresses for them too, or fashion crowns out of card or gum paper.
• Draw their faces using a fine permanent marker.

This memory book is the same style that I got for my twin girls. It was sold at Dillards and no longer is. I searched all over for this memory book for my son. The only thing I didn’t care for was the color. It’s blue green. I wanted baby blue. I’ll keep it anyway!

If you are looking for a fun Christmas craft or a quick gift

idea, these homemade country Christmas embellishments are very

easy and inexpensive to make. You probably already have most of

what you need to make them.

These ornamentations may be made from scrap fabric you already have on

hand. They are called “country ornaments” because of their

homemade, handspun look. They look best when made from leftover

quilting scraps. I decisive to recycle a good deal of fabric from my boys’

crib sheet that was ripped and ready to be thrown away. I

thought it would make a outstanding keepsake for family members to use

the fabric from the sheet to make the Christmas ornaments, as

well as a outstanding way to recycle the fabric.

Here are the furnishes you will need:

3″ styrofoam balls

Scrap fabric

Scissors

Craft glue

Small paintbrush

You will only need four or five strips of fabric to cover each

ball. Cut a strip of fabric approximately 1 1/2 inches wide and

five of these strips. Cut one extra strip a little bit narrower

Wrap the strip of fabric around the styrofoam ball and hold it

gluing the last strip on, thread the piece you are going to use

for the hanger beneath the strip on one end before you press that

last piece down (see photo). Tie the ends of the hanger together.

Press down all the strips of fabric to smooth out any gaps in the

fabric. Use the paintbrush to add glue to any spots you missed.

That’s it! An easy Christmas craft project you may make in less

than an hour. Make a few to add to the top of your Christmas

packages this year to give them a great deal of “country” appeal.

Personally, I like this toy better than the Rock Star Mickey, but it boils down to who your child loves more.

#9 Lalaloopsy Silly Hair Doll It seems like all of the Lalaloopsy dolls will be ordinary this Christmas, but I believe the Silly Hair Doll versions will be extra popular. I was once a wee lass and the main thing I loved regarding my dolls was the capacity to play with their hair. Lalaloopsy doesn’t have the typical Barbie doll hair. the item is simply awesome! a must for a collector/fan of B&tB. bought this for my 17 month old for Christmas, and she loves it. depending on the child, this isn’t a very sturdy item, seems like it would break easily if handled roughly. all it does is plays B&tB song and the rose lights up when you press the button, so not much “educational value”.

Beauty and the Beast Light Up Rose

This is a small but gorgeous piece of the film. I love it. I bought it because I collect Disney items. And this one had to be added to my collection. My little cousins love it very much. They really enjoy pressing the button to watch the rose light up and Beauty and the Beast play. My smallest cousin always wants to add it to the center of the table for a tea party. Her little face just lights up and she grins and looks at me and says, “pretty.”

These were very cute and arrived fast and cost was great. I don’t do the online thing much but was happy to find these for the grandkid who loves scooby doo at 3 years of age.

I ordered these in size 6, and the package came with two size 6′s and one size 8. It came with only two of the three colors (I didn’t get the red-trimmed pair).

Aside from the mix-up in packaging by the manufacturer, the underwear is great. The underwear runs true to size. They’re sized about the same as boys’ briefs from Oshkosh, but the fabric seems a little cheaper (less soft) than Oshkosh’s fabric.

The placement of the flame in front is a little startling, but my 5-year-old son loves Scooby Doo and loves these. I plan to order another package.

Ordered these for my Scooby Doo crazed son and he likes them very much. They are sized larger unlike most boys character underwear that shrinks after the first wash.
